Shelleigh M. Buckingham, OD

Dr. Shelleigh is a native of the Birmingham area.

She holds degrees in Psychology and Art from Wake Forest University, as well as having completed her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

When she's not serving her patients in Moody or Springville (and sometimes when she is) her family is the center of her busy life. Daughters Kendall and Sidney demand much of their mom, but they give so much more. When she's not keeping the two of them organized, she's frequently occupied by keeping Dr. Todd on the straight and narrow.

As a family, they share a love of animals, art, dance, travel, and the great outdoors.

Todd M. Buckingham, OD

Dr. Todd is a native of the Birmingham area, and received all of his secondary education at UAB, including study and degrees in Biology, Art, and Optometry.

Prior to completing his Doctorate of Optometry in 2000, he enjoyed a successful career as an illustrator and commercial artist, frequently focusing his creative efforts on educational topics in research and medicine.

Apart from his career, he is passionate about many things--woodworking, coppersmithing, remodeling, motorcycles, and more--but nothing holds a higher place in his life than his family. His wife, Shelleigh, and two young daughters are the center of his universe.
